Knitting With Yarn

Social craft and chat sessions

Are you interested in getting together with a bunch of like minded crafters?

We spin, weave, knit, crochet, felt, swap ideas and techniques and generally have fun! Everyone is welcome including beginners and non members.

It's a great way to meet like minded people and all you need to do is bring along a project you are working on. UFOs are especially welcome!

We currently have two evening and one day time session per month.

Social craft and knit nights.  2nd and 4th Thursday nights of the month.

6.30 to 9.30 pm. Ursula Alexander-Smith and Janet Day.

First Thursday Craft Group. 10.30 am to 2.30pm.                                     .

1st Thursday of the month.

Cheryl Price.

Social Spinners

Led by Steph Rogers and is held on the first Monday of every month, in the evening from 6.30 to 9.30 pm.

Social Spinners is a relaxed and welcoming new special interest group at the Guild, created for anyone who loves spinning or is just beginning their spinning journey. All skill levels are warmly encouraged to come along, from complete beginners to experienced spinners, with more advanced spinners on hand to offer gentle guidance, encouragement, and support if you’d like it. There’s no set program or structured learning themes – this group is simply about gathering together, sharing time and conversation, and enjoying the pleasure of spinning or improving your spinning in good company. Whether you come to practice or to be inspired, Social Spinners is a friendly space to connect and create together.

All the Groups meet at the Guild rooms. 655 Nicholson St., Carlton North.

Come along and surprise us or email the Guild for more information.

Times may change over the Summer break.

The Guild's aim is to bring together those who practise handweaving, spinning and allied crafts. To help and encourage them to increase their knowledge, understanding and skills by discussion, demonstration, exhibition, teaching and the provision of quality resource materials.

In the spirit of reconciliation the Handweavers and Spinners Guild of Victoria acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay respect to their elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people today.
