The Guild Library holds a specialist collection of over 3000 books, magazines and DVDs and operates in much the same way as your local library, but in this case is a special privilege for members only. 

  • Members can borrow up to 4 items for up to one month

  • Affiliated Groups can borrow up to 8 items

  • There is a small fee for items borrowed

  • Only current guild members are eligible to borrow items

  • Items in the Reference Collection cannot be borrowed

  • The online catalogue is a comprehensive site where you can search by topic, author etc., reserve items and create your own lists of favourite books

  • Once you join the Guild you will receive an email welcoming you to the library. It will give your borrower number and password. If you have lost the email search for to find the original email or contact us at and we will resend the details. 

  • a mobile phone app is available and is detailed in the 'welcome' email

The library is closed until Covid restrictions ease but the online catalogue is available to search for and reserve items.

About the Guild

The Guild's aim is to bring together those who practise handweaving, spinning and allied crafts. To help and encourage them to increase their knowledge, understanding and skills by discussion, demonstration, exhibition, teaching and the provision of quality resource materials.
